LAHORE: Two bomb blasts in the fruit market near Badami Bagh here have left at least 23 persons injured, Geo News reported.

Police have confirmed the two blasts, which struck the main gate and the parking of the fruit market, caused serious bodily harm to 23 people.

The injured have been shifted to different nearby hospitals.

Two of the injured are reported to be in critical condition.

Rescue sources have also endorsed the numbers given by the police.

The fruit market area has been cordoned off and security and rescue personnel have started pouring in at the sites of the blasts.

Police say the explosives were planted under a pushcart.
