ISLAMABAD: A leader of militant group Islami Tehreek Uzbekistan (ITU) was killed in a drone attack launched in a tribal area of Pakistan in April this year, the organization claimed on its website.

"Our leader Usman Adil was killed in a drone attack in Pakistan's tribal area in April," the website of ITU said.

According to a foreign news agency, a Pakistan military official also confirmed the killing of Usman Adil in a drone strike.

Four people had been killed in the said drone attack carried out in Pakistan tribal area in April this year.
