Police finalize security arrangements for Youm-e-Ali (RA)

KARACHI: The police department has finalized all the security arrangements for observing Youm-e-Ali (RA) in a peaceful way on Friday 21st of Ramzan.

According to the plan 400 officers and functionaries of Sindh Reserve Police, 360 police commandos and personnel from specialized units like SIU, AVCC and ACLC will be deployed at procession routes.

The 360 commandos will be deployed at the route of main procession to be taken out from Nishatar Park to Shah-e-Khurasan via Empress Market, Tibet Center, Kharadar and Boltan Market.

Reviewing the security plan in a meeting with high ranking officials of his department, the IG Police Sindh Fayyaz Laghari directed for ensuring availability of fire brigade, ambulances, bomb disposal squad near the procession route.

The IGP urged to devise an alternate emergency plan in case of any eventuality. (PPI)
