Nine prisoners released from Malir Jail

KARACHI: District & Sessions Judge Malir, Muhammad Yameen, accompanied by Judicial Magistrates, visited Malir Jail on Sunday and ordered release of nine prisoners who were languishing there for non-payment of fine and for want of few days' relaxation in sentence.

Fateh Muhammad Qureshi, representative of Haq Nawaz Akhtar, chairman, Saiban Organization, paid the fine amount and travelling expenses of the prisoners. Haider Ali Haider, general secretary of Saiban and other office bearers also distributed Wakalat Nama documents among those prisoners who were unable to engage any lawyer.

Jail Superintendent Syed Nazeer Hussain Shah brief the judges about non-availability of technical staff for Ex-ray and ultrasound labs at jail.
