LAHORE: Two men were killed when police opened fire on a gathering in Nawaz Sharif Colony in Lahore Monday, Geo News reported.

According to sources, an event was underway in Nawaz Sharif Colony when it was interrupted by police. The police started torturing and beating a man who was attending the event.

Police opened indiscriminate firing when intervened by the crowd present at the occasion that killed a man named Adeel and injured three others including a three-year-old boy.

The injured were shifted to the hospital where another man named John succumbed to his injuries.

After the incident, the relatives of the deceased protested against the killings and blocked Ferozpur road by burning tyres and blocked the traffic.

The protesters said that they will continue the demonstration until some high rank officials will approach them.
