ISLAMABAD: An earthquake of moderate intensity hit parts of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab on late Monday night casusing panic among residents, Geo News reported.

No casualties were reported.

According to the Met Office, a tremor of magnitude 4.6 on the Richter scale was felt in Peshawar, Mardan, Malakand, Swat, Boner, Shangla, Skardu, Swat, Lower Dir, Chitral, Neelum Valley, Azad Jammu Kashmir, Rawalpindi, Jhelum, and Islamabad.

The epicenter of this seismic activity is approximated to be in the northeast of Mansehra.
