Interior Ministry directs provincial governments to heighten security for politicians

ISLAMABAD: The Interior Ministry has warned of terrorist attacks in the next few weeks. The warning issued by the Interior Ministry states that important political personalities can be the target of these attacks.

Law enforcement agencies have been directed to take precautionary measures to avoid any untoward incident while all Inspector Generals Police and Home Secretaries have been asked to stay alert.

The Interior Ministry states that politicians are on the hit list of terrorist groups and these groups can also target offices of political parties.
