KARACHI: Mobile Phone services have been suspended in parts of Pakistan as a security measure to avoid any untoward incident during Eid.

Mobile services have been suspended in parts of Karachi, Lahore, and Multan. Meanwhile mobile phone services of all carriers have been suspended in Quetta.

Earlier Interior Minister Rehman Malik said there were terror threats for some areas of the country during Eid which is why mobile services may be suspended.

Malik added that services in these areas could also be suspended during Eid prayers; however he clarified that they would not be suspended across the country.
