DUBLIN: Irish police said the evacuation of the Israeli embassy in Dublin on Tuesday following the discovery of a suspect device was a "false alarm".
"The security operation has ceased -- it's definitely a false alarm," a spokesman told AFP.
The building had been evacuated after a suspect package was reported just before 11:00am (1000 GMT). A military bomb disposal team was deployed to examine it.
The building was sealed off but has now reopened, the spokesman said.
The embassy is situated in the Ballsbridge area of southeast Dublin. (AFP)
