KARACHI: The water supply to the parts of metropolis is likely to be suspended partially after the bursting of Karachi Water & Sewerage Board’s mainline in Gharo, Geo News reported.

KWS&B’s chief engineer, Iftikhar Ahmed, told Geo News that a power outage caused the pumping line to break down, whereas a damaged pipeline shut the old pumping station down.

He said the new pumping house in Gharo was supplying water to city normally.

The areas, which could face a likely suspension in water supply, are Landhi, Shah Faisal Colony, Shaar-e-Faisal, Society, etc.
