PPP meeting to discuss PM summons by SC

ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari has summoned a meeting of senior PPP leaders due to be held Friday night.

The meeting is expected to discuss the issue of Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf being summoned by the Supreme Court on August 27.

No official statement has been made by the federation, confirming that the prime minister will appear before the apex court or to the contrary.

Prime Minister Ashraf had been summoned at the time of issucance of a contempt notice to him for failing to implement Supreme Court's orders in the NRO case.
