Cop, man gunned down in Gilgit city

GILGIT: Panic gripped Gilgit city, as the firing and explosions rocked the capital of Gilgit-Baltistan during which a cop and another man lost the life and on Sunday.

The terrorists riding a bike opened fires on police force present on duty at a check post. A cop was killed while other policemen chose to flee to save their life.

In another incident at Baseen area, unidentified terrorists shot dead one Karamat. Firing incidents were reported from other parts of Gilgit city and reportedly a man was seriously injured.

Meanwhile, some terrorists hurled a hand grenade at airport road however no loss of life was reported.

The panic made the traders to shut their businesses across the city. (PPI)
