Police arrest 79 accused in last 3 days

KARACHI: The Karachi police during a crackdown against criminals, arrested 79 accused during the past three days.

According to a police statement on Monday those arrested included a proclaimed offender and 11 absconders.

It said that in nine encounters with the police six gangs of alleged criminals were busted. During these encounters a police personnel of Kalri police station was killed and one of PIB police station was injured.

The statement further stated that in all, 45 pistols, one rifle, one repeater, one carbine, one revolver, five daggers, four hand grenades, 11 mobile phones and cash were recovered from the accused. (APP)
