2 dacoits killed in police encounter

LAHORE: Two dacoits were killed on Monday in an alleged encounter with Factory Area police at a picket on Ghazi Road.

According to police sources, they were on a routine search duty
at a Ghazi Road picket when four alleged dacoits on motorcycles arrived there. Police tried to stop them for search but they opened fire. Police retaliated and killed two of them while their accomplices fled.

Police claimed to have recovered a motorcycle, two pistols, mobile phones and gold ornaments from their possession.

The bodies have been taken to morgue.
