Traders leave Karachi due to extortion

KARACHI: Traders have started to leave the metropolis due to a rise in extortion. Traders claim that they have to pay more in extortion than in taxes.

According to a statement released by the All Karachi Traders Ittehad, traders had to pay millions in extortion during the month of Ramzan.

Traders are also considering including the money given in extortion and ransom in their tax returns and claiming it from the government.
