LAHORE: A 30-year-old man killed his mother for not giving him money in the jurisdiction of Ghaziabad police staion here.

According to Police, deceased Shamim Akhtar of Ghaziabad had been living alongwith his sons Javed Rashid (accused) and Pervez Akhtar. Javed was involved in bad activities and also used to steal money from the home besides snatching cash from mother and brother.
Pervez had to go outstation for some urgent work and in his absence, Javed demanded money from mother and on refusal he created quarrel and killed her by club beating.

The accused hid the dead body in a big iron trunk placed in store of the house.

When Pervez returned home and asked about mother, Javed was infuriated and told that she was dead.

Pervez questioned about the body but Javed attacked his brother with club and after injuring him severely he managed to escape.

The injured Pervez called police and informed about the incident. Police searched the house and recovered the dead body of Shamim Akhtar and shifted to the hospital for postmortem.

An FIR has been lodged against the accused on the application
of Pervez Akhtar. (APP)
