L.Wright misses ton

COLOMBO: Lead by a hard-hitting 99no by Luke Wright, England set 196 for Afghanistan to stay in the tournament.

A disappointing show once again in the field, the Afghanis let the English batsmen of the hook by dropping a good number of catches.

Apart from an unbeaten 99 by L.Wright (8x4s, 6x6s) , some valuable contributions came from AD Hales (31), E.Morgan (27) and a 12 run cameo by J.Bairistow off just 5 balls.

Izatullah Dawlatzai 2-56, Dawlat Zardan 1-22 and Shapoor Zardan 1-24 bowled well for the Afghans.
