ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) has launched a special drive against one-wheeling and booked around 45 motorcycles involved in unauthorized activity, posing life threats to citizens.
Senior official of Islamabad Traffic Police said that under the campaign special teams have been tasked to take action against one-wheeling and the youth showing bike stunts on different roads.
About 40 to 50 challan tickets are being issued per day to these offenders.
He said Islamabad Traffic Police is fully committed to control accidents ratio in Federal Capital, added that bikers usually use wrong ways to escape from Traffic Police which may lead to accidents.
The official said it is responsibility of parents to stop their children from committing this offence.
He said media should also aware the public about negative aspects of one-wheeling and bike stunts as many accident have taken place due to this activity. (APP)
