Karachi: Inspector General Sindh Fayaz Ahmed Leghari has stressed upon the police to take strong action against anti-social elements to halt their hostile activities and ensure protection to public property by deploying law enforcers at all important installations.

He nominated senior police officer AD Khuwaja in the inquiry committee to investigate the matter of serving contaminated food to recruits at Razzaqabad Police training center and prepare detailed report of the incident.

He was presiding over high level meeting at his office to review the law and order situation prevailing in the province especially in the metropolitan city.

Additional Inspector Generals of Karachi, Special branch, Crime, Traffic, CID, DIGs of head quarter, SRP, CID and others also attended meeting.

He expressed grave concern over regulatory affairs at all training center and directed police officers to take substantive measures to ensure better administrative setup at all such centers.

He also suggested them to arrange immediate briefing regarding residents and welfare measures taken for police officers at all the police training centers so he could review all issues related to them. (PPI)
