ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has deferred the matter of overseas Pakistanis right to vote till its consultative meeting with the political parties scheduled to be held on September 27.

If overseas Pakistanis wish to exercise their right to vote, they will have to come to Pakistan, decided a high level meeting of ECP held here on Wednesday.

A statement of ECP said: "The issue of granting right of vote to the overseas Pakistanis was deliberated and it was decided that the matter will be taken up in the political parties consultative meeting scheduled on 27th September 2012."

It was also decided during the meeting, that voting will take place again, at polling stations reserved for women, where voter turn out is less than 10 percent.
