World Rabies Day 2012 on Friday

KARACHI: Rabies in Asia Foundation has arranged a seminar at Indus Hospital on Saturday to observe World Rabies Day, said Dr. Naseem Salahuddin, Head of the Foundation on Thursday.

The mission of World Rabies Day is to raise awareness about the impact of human and animal rabies, how easy it is to prevent it, and
how to eliminate the main global sources, she said.

The senior physician and microbiologist said that even though the
major impact of rabies occurs in regions of the world where many needs are present, rabies should no longer be neglected.

The seminar will be addressed by renowned doctors speakers that will be followed by a series of awareness activities including a puppet show for the SOS village children. (APP)
