Sacrificial animal market to start operating from Oct 16: CDA

ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) would start operating sacrificial animal market from October 16 here at sector I-11/4 while auctions for the market will be held on October 15.

Deputy Director Municipal Directorate told APP that in this regard meeting will be held here on Oct 11 to discuss the arrangements being made for animal market.

The meeting will be attended by officials of Enforcement Directorate, Fire Brigade, Electrical, Sanitation and Water supply directorates.

He said that specific area would be allocated for the sale of these animals.

As the festival of `Eid-ul-Azha' approaching fast, the sacrificial animals sellers have started bringing animals in twin cities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi.

The process would get momentum in the coming days before Eid-ul-Azha.

Presently, the owners of the sacrificial animals have brought the animals on IJ Principal Road, Bakara Mandi, Bani Chowk, Adiala Road, Dhamyal Road. (APP)
