KARACHI: The Karachi Chambers of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) has postponed its strike against extortion till November 30.

The decision to postpone the strike was made after a delegation of the KCCI met with Sindh Governor Dr. Ishratul Ebad on Sunday.

Former KCCI president, Siraj Qasim Teli said the Old City area of the city was most affected by extortion.

The government has been given more than a month’s time to meet the demands of the KCCI.
Teli added that there needs to be a monitoring mechanism set up for the old city, industrial zones and SITE areas of the city.
