PALLEKELE, Sri Lanka: Sri Lanka captain Angelo Mathews elected to field after winning the toss against New Zealand in the one-off Twenty20 international in Pallekele on Tuesday.

New Zealand will also play five one-day internationals and two Tests on their their month-long tour.

New Zealand: Ross Taylor (captain), Rob Nicol, Tom Latham, Brendon McCullum, James Franklin, Jacob Oram, Ronnie Hira, Andrew Ellis, Tim Southee, Kyle Mills, Bradley-John Watling.

Sri Lanka: Angelo Mathews (captain), Tillakaratne Dilshan, Dilshan Munaweera, Kumar Sangakkara, Jeevan Mendis, Lahiru Thirimanne, Thisara Perera, Nuwan Kulasekara, Akila Dananjaya, Dinesh Chandimal, Shaminda Eranga.
