Karachi: Mysterious plane spotted hovering over central jail

KARACHI: An apparently small-sized mysterious plane was spotted hovering over the central jail building here in the metropolis, Geo News reported late on Friday night.

According to sources, a droning sound drew authorities' and local residents' attention and upon looking hard in the night sky it turned out to be a drone-like midget aircraft on the face of it.

Drawing a blank the Civil Aviation Authority’s (CAA) air traffic control tower denied giving permission to any such flight, the sources added.

People in the neighbourhood, who themselves were panicked, were also unable to come up with an explanation.

Meanwhile, the authorities were trying to find out the answers to the questions like what that plane-like unidentified flying object really was, if it were an aircraft then who allowed it to fly in Karachi’s airspace without getting a go-ahead form CAA, whether it was manned or unmanned and why it was hovering over just the central jail building?
