Army operation not needed in Karachi: COAS Kayani

ISLAMABAD: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani said Thursday that a military operation was not required in Karachi.

Speaking to selected journalists’ on the sidelines of the D-8 conference, Army Chief Kayani applauded the performance of the Rangers in Karachi

Kayani said the army was ready to provide security during Muharram adding that the army had been deployed in sensitive areas across the country.
