Korean Food Festival held

KARACHI: A Korean Food Festival was organized in the metropolis by the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea.

A statement here on Tuesday said that two renowned chefs from Korea flew in for the event.

It said that the guests appreciated the Korean food most of which is made with natural ingredients like soyabean paste,soya sauce and red pepper powder etc.

The food festival also provided the Karachiites an opportunity to experience and get better acquainted with Korean culture.

The Consul General of Korea in Karachi, In-ki Lee, said that on the occasion that next year will mark the 30th anniversary of diplomatic ties between Korea and Pakistan and Consulate General has been planning to organize various cultural events to commemorate the occasion along with Korean Embassy in Islamabad.

He said as first step, Korean Consulate General hosted "Korean
Food Festival" with the support of Ambassador Choong-joo Choi, and
Korean Government as well.

Apart from food festival, a chorus comprising of thirty Korean ladies and men sang several traditional songs. (APP)
