ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Police have arrested ten outlaws from various areas of the city and recovered huge quantity of narcotics and weapons from their possession, a police spokesman said on Thursday.
On a tip off, Sub-Inspector Nusrat Ali from Golra police station arrested Niaz Ali and recovered 1.2 kilogram heroin from him. Sub-Inspector Muhammad Aslam from Tarnol police station nabbed Zakir for having 1.1 kilogram hashish while Inspector Zulfiqar Ahmed from CIA police apprehended Ghulam Ishaq and Masood in possession of 1.070 kilogram hashish.
ASI Sarfaraz from Secretariat police station arrested Waqas for having 30 bore pistol while Sub-Inspector Khalid Mehmud nabbed Zeeshan and Tariq in possession of 80 grams heroin.
Inspector Lal Din from Industrial area police arrested three thieves Irfan, Wajid and Saleem besides recovering stolen items from them.
Cases have been registered against these nabbed persons and further investigation is underway from them.
IGP Islamabad Bani Amin Khan and SSP Islamabad Yaseen Farooq have appreciated this overall performance and further directed all police officials for effective policing in their respective jurisdictions.
