Resignations of four MQM MNAs accepted

ISLAMABAD: The resignations of four MQM members of national assembly (MNA) have been accepted by the assembly secretariat.

Haider Abbas Rizvi, Fauzia Ijaz, Tayyab Hussain and Dr. Nadeem Ehsan had tendered their resignation. According to the secretariat, the reasons for the resignations were personal.

The resignations have now been sent to the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP).

The MQM MNAs were among the sixteen parliamentarians who failed to submit their affidavits’ regarding dual nationality by the deadline set by the ECP.
