Resolution in Sindh Assembly against Kalabagh dam

KARACHI: A resolution was presented in the Sindh Assembly against the construction of the Kalabagh Dam, Geo News reported.

The resolution, condemning the construction of the dam, was presented by PPP MPA Imran Zaffar Laghari. He said Sindh had been victimized and they could sacrifice their lives against the construction of Kalabagh dam.

MPA Sikandar Mendro said they condemned those who support the constriction of the dam.

Nusrat Sehr said they reject Kalabagh dam, adding that the past three assemblies had already adopted resolution against it.

Earlier this month, the Lahore High Court ordered the construction of the Kalabagh Dam in light of the recommendations of the Council of Common Interests.
