ISLAMABAD: Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) chairman Saeed Ahmed Khan has assured that the issue of CNG price would be resolved before December 17, Geo News reported.

Addressing a press conference here Friday, OGRA chairman said the authority has asked for policy guideline to the Ministry of Petroleum for fixing CNG prices but the same is yet to be issued, adding OGRA would again hold a meetings with all stakeholders on the matter.

Saeed Ahmed Khan further said gas theft is estimated at Rs16 billion in the current year. He said the gas companies had been directed to cover this loss with their profits instead of shifting it to the consumers.

He said Sui Northern and Southern Gas companies had requested for shifting this Rs16.50 billion loss to consumers which had been rejected by the authority.
