'Make America Great Again' (MAGA) proponent and former US President Donald Trump claimed at the Black Conservative Federation Gala in South Carolina that Black voters like him because of his multiple indictments and mugshot.

Trump asserted, "I got indicted for nothing. They were doing it because it’s election interference. And then I got indicted a second time, a third time, and a fourth time." He suggested that Black people appreciate him due to the discrimination they have faced.

Referring to his mugshot, Trump stated, "The mugshot, we’ve all seen the mugshot, and you know who embraced it more than anybody else? The Black population."

During another speech, Fox News interrupted coverage of a rally to issue multiple fact-checks for Trump's statements.

Anchor Neil Cavuto emphasised: "Even though he’s entitled to his opinion, he’s not entitled to his own set of facts, preceding corrections on topics such as the stock market and the 2020 election".

Earlier, Trump urged Alabama lawmakers to swiftly address a recent state supreme court ruling that halted in-vitro fertilization (IVF) treatments in the state.

Trump demanded that lawmakers "act quickly to find an immediate solution" to protect IVF in the wake of the surprising court decision.
