ECP notifies Shazia Sobia on seat vacated by Alizeh Haider

ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan on Tuesday notified Pakistan Peoples Party Parliamentarians’ (PPP) Dr. Shazia Sobia as returned candidate on the reserved national assembly seat vacated by PPP MNA Alizeh Haider.

The notification was issued in pursuance clause 6 of article 224 of the constitution read with section 47A(3) of the Representation of People Act 1976.

Ms. Alizeh Iqbal Haider had resigned from the national assembly citing personal reasons. The notified MNA Dr Shazia Sobia hails from Pano Akil District Sukkur.
