KARACHI: Inspector General (IG) Sindh, Fayyaz Leghari said Sunday the attacks on the police were the result of the ongoing war against terrorists in the city.

Speaking to the media after attending the funeral prayer of two CID policemen killed after being kidnapped and an ASI who was gunned down, Leghari said the police was continually taking action in district west.

Legahri informed the media that terrorists’ had tried to make hideouts in certain areas of Karachi.

IG Sindh added that action was being taken against the terrorists’ which was essential to saving the city from the present unrest.

“If we step back it will become difficult to save the city,” Leghari said.
