ISLAMABAD: The Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) will meet and deliberate on the CNG price guidelines.

Finance Ministry sources informed Geo News that the summary prepared by the Petroleum Ministry regarding the use of CNG in cars will be presented in the ECC meeting. The summary recommends that CNG only be used in public transport.

The meeting will also deliberate on the proposal to have CNG priced at 80% of the petrol price.

CNG Association Chairman Ghayas Paracha said that if the government approved the CNG policy, all stations would be forced to shut down.
