Dwayne Johnson says he will run for the presidency and completely rules out any possibility in the future

The Rock shies away from the world's biggest responsibility

Being a president of the United States is arguably the biggest responsibility ever in the world, and, Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson, would pass on the role because he says he is "not a politician."

During an interview with Fox News, the megastar was asked about his intentions to run for the presidential office in the future. “No, that’s not my intention. I’m not a politician," he responded.

The stark refusal comes after the Jumanji actor revealed he was courted by various political parties for the last U.S. elections for the presidential candidate after a survey suggests nearly half of the Americans would vote for him.

“That was an interesting poll that happened, and I was really moved by that. And I was really uh, blown away. I was really honored,” the WWE-cum-actor told Trevor Noah on his Spotify What Now? podcast.

Elsewhere in the interview with the co-host of Fox & Friends Weekend, the Black Adam star said his past experience of endorsing Joe Biden forced him not to publicly back any candidate this election.

“The endorsement that I made years ago with Biden was one I thought was the best decision for me at that time,” he shared.

The 51-year-old continued, “I thought, ‘I’m in this position where I have some influence and I felt it was my job then to exercise my influence [and] share: This is who I’m going to endorse.’ I’m not going to do that. I was then, the most followed man in the world, and am today, and I appreciate that."

"But what that caused was something that tears me up in my guts — which is division. That got me. I didn’t realize that then, I just felt like there was a lot of unrest and I’d like things to calm down.”
