ISLAMABAD: The committee formed to determine CNG price guidelines failed to yield any results during its meeting here on Wednesday.
The meeting was chaired by Law Minister Farooq Naek and was attended by members of different CNG associations and representatives from OGRA and the petroleum ministry.
Speaking to the media following the meeting, Law Minister Naek said different pricing formulas had been summoned and these would be evaluated.
Petroleum Advisor Dr Asim Hussain briefly attended the meeting and told Geo News that CNG associations wanted an increase in their profits.
Meanwhile CNG association representative Ghayas Paracha said the cost of gas was Rs.57, electricity was Rs.7.42 and profit should be determined after evaluating the location and cost of machinery at the CNG station. He added that the price issue should be resolved by December 30 so the difficulty faced by consumers can come to an end.
