Strangers Things director Shawn Levy recently opened up about the most important aspect of the final season.

In an interview with Collider, the 55-year-old filmmaker shared how it's a tradition for him to direct episodes 3 and 4 of every season.

However, the current scheduling made it impossible for him to stick to the drill.

“Literally, I'm stammering a bit because I don't know that we're sharing the details of that, but you can do the math. As you know, I've always directed Episodes 3 and 4. We have to get after it, and so with my schedule and the show's schedule, I'm gonna be doing a later episode,” he said.

Although, he clarified that he wouldn’t be directing the finale episode and that the Duffer Brothers will be executing it as per the norm.

Shawn also discussed why it’s imperative to make the ending “satisfying.”

“It's always a mixture of both with Stranger Things. If you look at any episode of Stranger Things, you can see that the Duffers have always been obsessed with, as they put it, sticking to the landing,” he said.

Shawn added, “We’ve got to stick to the landing of every episode, and we tried to stick with the landing at the end of every season. So, you better believe we are all of us devoted to sticking the landing with the series finale."
