KARACHI: Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has restored mobile phone services in Karachi, Geo News reported.

Cell phone service was suspended from 11 am to 6 pm Friday (today), without any prior notice, causing immense communication difficulties to the citizens.

Sources told that the cellular services were suspended in the backdrop of some suspected terrorism.

According to the Interior Ministry, there was a threat of mobile phones being used to detonate remote controlled explosives in Karachi.
