USA Basketball unveils star-studded men's team for Paris Olympics this year

USA Basketball on Wednesday unveiled the men's national basketball squad for the United States for the upcoming Olympics — many of whom on the roster are recognisable.

The national basketball team for Olympics 2024 includes major names like LeBron James, Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant and more.

Durant and James are the only players on the roster with appearances in multiple Summer Games, with the Phoenix Suns star playing in his fourth game after winning gold in 2012, 2016 and 2020.

Meanwhile, the LA Lakers star making his first team appearance since 2012.

Additionally, Curry, along with Tyrese Haliburton, Joel Embiid, Anthony Edwards and Kawhi Leonard will be playing in their first Olympic Games while Devin Booker, Jayson Tatum, Jrue Holiday,Anthony Davis andBam Adebayo will mark their second Olympic appearances.

Edwards, 22, is the youngest player on the roster and James, 39, is the oldest.

The Olympic Gamesare seen as a last hurrah for James, Curry and Durant, whohave never played together on an international stage, as they are likely to retire by the 2028 Summer Olympics.

Team USA, which will be coached by Steve Kerr this time, has won gold at in men's basketball at every Summer Olympics since 2008.
