Taylor Swift just gave a shout out to Charlie Puth on her latest album, The Tortured Poets Department and her fan base has many thoughts on it.

In the title track of Swift’s eleventh studio album, the 14-time Grammy winner wittily hinted at a paramour who had a likening to old-fashion and compared himself to legendary poets.

Proceeding to the name drop, Swift sang, "You smoked then ate seven bars of chocolate/ We declared Charlie Puth should be a bigger artist."

Shortly after fans heard these lyrics, many of them expressed a wide range of emotions varying from shock to confusion.

“Not Charlie Puth trending,” a fan wrote while another tweeted, “‘We declared Charlie Puth should be a bigger artist’ FACTS.”

“CHARLIE PUTH mention is a Jumpscare,” another fan wrote.

Charlie Puth has been known for his little interactions with Swift, as the Attention singer remained open about his admiration for the Lover crooner.
