A full moon is once again set to dazzle the skies tonight but this time it will be marked as April's "Pink Moon", also known as the "Sprouting Grass Moon", "Egg Moon," and "Fish Moon", among others.

The pink moon will be visible in skies at 7:49pm EDT on Tuesday (April 23), opposite the sun, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (Nasa)reported.

Meanwhile, the 'Pink Moon' will be visible on Wednesday, from the time zones of the United Kingdom, Ireland, and Portugal eastward across Europe, Africa, Asia, and Australia to the International Date Line in the mid-Pacific.

The moon will appear full for about three days around this time, from Monday morning to Thursday morning.

When will the next full moon appear?

According to Nasa, the next full moon will be visible on Thursday morning, May 23, at 9:53am EDT.

Based on the location of the Nasa Headquarters in Washington, DC, the moon will be full for about three days around this time, from Tuesday night through early Friday evening.

However, next month's full moon event will occur on Friday morning from the Lord Howe time zone eastward to the International Date Line.
