Anna Gunn thinks that Breaking Bad fans have now started seeing her character in a new light.

The 55-year-old actress played the role of Walter White’s (Bryan Cranston) wife Skyler White in the blockbuster show which aired from 2008 to 2013.

Despite Anna winning two Emmy awards for her role, she still had to put up with harassment from "toxic fans."

She also detailed the misogynistic commentary and the threats she received in an op-ed piece she penned for New York Times.

However, after more than a decade since Breaking Bad‘s final season premiered, Anna thinks that people have now changed their perception about her character.

“Now, when people come up to me, it’s incredibly different… There’s still a long way to go, but we have made seismic changes since then,” she told The Hollywood Reporter.

Anna added, “So people come up to me now and say, ‘You were the linchpin for me. You were the conscience of the show. You were what pulled me into the show.’ Or they say, ‘The first time I watched it, I hated that character. But the second time I watched it, I realized, ‘Oh my God, that poor woman.’”
