Rapper Scott Ramon Seguro Mescudi aka Kid Cudi who recently broke his foot following his fall at Coachella, is forced to cancel his upcoming summer tour.

Cudi was all set to tour in the summer for his ninth studio album Insano which was released in January 2024.

The 41-year-old rapper took to his social handles on X (formerly known as Twitter), and Instagram and updated fans that he had to undergo surgery for his broken heel bone which broke during his performance at weekend 2 of the Annual Musical Festival.

"I'm headed to surgery now and there's gonna be a long recovery time. We have to cancel the tour so I can focus on getting better to be out there in top shape to rage with you all," Cudi wrote.

He also informed his fans in his recent update that they would be refunded.

"Anyone who bought tickets will get a full refund, you'll get an email soon. We will be back with new tour dates as soon as possible, and I can't wait to get back out here with you guys and turn up how we do," Cudi continued "I'm really disappointed as I'm sure you guys are too, but I will be back. That's a promise. I'm ok, just a lil soreness, but I'm in good spirits."

It's pertinent to mention that Kudi performed for 40 minutes at the Sahara Tent of Coachella as a last-minute replacement for Vampire Weekend on Sunday, April 21.

At the end of his set, the rapper jumped off the stage and twisted his ankle according to footage captured by a fan. Later, Cudi confirmed he broke his leg via X(formerly known as Twitter).
