RDX, ball bearings, nut bolts used in Aisha Manzil blast: report

KARACHI: According to the initial report of the bomb disposal squad, RDX, ball bearings and nut bolts were used in the Aisha Manzil blast.

Approximately two kilograms of explosives were used in the blast which claimed four lives and injured over forty. The report states the blast in Aisha Manzil was similar to the blast which took place near an Imambargah in Abbas Town during Muharram.

The site of the Aisha Manzil blast has been sealed, while evidence collected has been sent to the forensic laboratory. The case of the blast has so far not been registered at the concerned police station.

Meanwhile the funeral prayers of the four victims were held on Wednesday and the MQM is observing a day of mourning.
