Zendaya gets candid about filming 'Challengers' with costars

Zendaya just explained what it was like to shoot rather intimate scenes with her Challengers costars, Josh O’Connor and Mike Faist.

The 27-year-old discussed the scene, not involving tennis, even though she stated, “tennis is the s** in the movie,” at the premiere of the film.

Tennis, in Challengers “holds a metaphor for a lot of things — for desires, passion, pain, anger, frustration,” Zendaya had further stated.

Exactly how each and every mover in each and every tennis match was choreographed, so were the steamy scenes of the movie.

Speaking to PEOPLE magazine, O’Connor said, “I've done s** scenes and people are always fascinated: ‘How do you do that?’”, praising Challengers’ intimacy coordinator Mam Smith.

He continued, “It is choreographed. It has to be so that everyone feels safe and comfortable.”

Zendaya chimed in saying, “We had to do it in one shot. So that was like, ‘Okay, you have to say this line, the camera's got to go here, and if we mess up, we got to start over again.’"
