Maya Hawke keeps 'Stranger Things' secrets even from dad Ethan Hawke

Ethan Hawke admits his daughter Maya Hawke, famed for her role in Stranger Things won't share any spoiler from the upcoming season of the hit series.

In an interview with PEOPLE, Hawke discussed his experience directing Maya in their new film Wildcat, set to release on May 3.

He said, "I can be proud of her and geek out with so much joy when I watch Stranger Things, But when I'm directing her, I have a job to do which is to make sure we accomplish that goal."

This film, which delves into the life of short-story writer Flannery O'Connor, marks the father-daughter duo's first professional collaboration.

Hawke shared that while he enjoys watching his daughter on Stranger Things, where she plays the character Robin Buckley, she refuses to give any insights into the upcoming season.

He said, "I nudge her for them and she won't give them up! She says, 'You've got a big mouth.' So nope, not even to dear old dad."
