Kate Hudson breaks her silence over broken ties with biological father

Kate Hudson opened up about her relationship with her biological father Bill Hudson after nearly a lifetime of estrangement.

During a recent interview with CBS Sunday Morning on April 28, the Almost Famous star said that they still do not have much of a relationshipwith her musician father but then she gave a slightest bit of hope of some improvement.

When she was asked if she had any kind of relationship with her father she responded by saying, “I don't really have one.”

She hinted at a possible improvement, "There’s warming ups of this all happening," the 45-year-old actress said. "But it will be whatever it will be you know.”

“I have no expectation of that with my father, you know." Kate added.
"I just want him to be happy.”

It is pertinent to mention that during an interview with Dailymail in 2015, Bill disowned his children by saying, “I no longer recognize Oliver and Kate as my own."

His interview came after when Kate’s brother Oliver Hudson took to Instagram on Father’s Day and posted a childhood photo of himself and Kate with their estranged father and wrote, “Happy abandonment day... katehudson."

For those unversed, Kate Hudson’s mother Goldie Hawn tied the knot with Bill in 1976 and share two children Kate, 45, and Oliver, 47.

Kate was only 18 months old when her mother split from her father in 1980 and finalized their divorce in 1982.
