Britney Spears was under control, the report claims, during the conservatorship period. But after being released from it, the pop icon became increasingly a spendthrift.

Insiders share the Toxic hitmaker is suffering from "shocking" mood swings as her newfound freedom, they alleged, is putting a strain on her financial matters.

“She had lots of freedom in the conservatorship and the restrictions were there to protect her. She's not protected anymore," the sources added.

Without supervision, the TMZ birds chirped the Grammy winner was spending at a lightening speed. Pricey hotels and extravagant trips to Hawaii are lessening the $60 million fortune of the mother-of-two, the report said.

Number-savvy analysts estimate each trip of Britney is costing her "close to a million dollars" which she is making "every month or two."

The use of private jets, high-end hotels, and staff is draining the 42-year-old accounts to the point that she may go broke, the insiders warned.

“She cannot afford this. She had $60million when the conservatorship ended, and she's now where the conservatorship started – in danger of going broke.”

Amid the free-spending of Britney, Forbes breaks down her wealth. They believe the majority of her fortune is in assets that are put in investments and real estate while the rest of the $3 million is in cash.
