Jennifer Connelly breaks silence on ‘Top Gun 3'

Jennifer Connelly opened up about returning to the action-adventure movie Top Gun’s third instalment.

The 2022 movie starred Connelly along with Tom Cruise, Glen Powell, Miles Teller and other Top Gun stars.

Speaking to Entertainment Tonight during the premiere of her upcoming Sci-fi film Dark Matter, in Los Angeles, the actress expressed her eagerness to reprise her role as Penny Benjamin.

“I'll be there. I'm ready”, the 53-year-old enthused.

However, although the Requiem for a Dream actress reflected on Top Gun: Maverick and noted, “We had such a great time shooting it. It was fun”, she also admitted to not having heard about the third instalment yet.

"I haven't seen anything”, the mother of two added referring to scripts, “I had a casual chat with my friend, Joe Kosinski, who directed it, who I worked with twice now. I'm his biggest fan. I think he's so great. [I talked to him] about the possibility of it, but I don't know anything concrete."

Notably, this update came on the heels of a news report by Puck News claiming that the third instalment of the acclaimed movie series was in work with Cruise, Powel and Teller reprising their respective roles.
